HS Academy

Hello and happy Wednesday, another hot day but not as hot as it has been.  Today's project share is another completed LO for Baby Girl's high school album using sketch inspiration from Sketch N Scrap #181.  I used pictures from the culminating event of the VCU Health Science Academy, she was one of the participants during her 10th grade school year.  The papers came from the Authentique Accomplished 12x12 paper pad, Recollections embellishments and I cut the title using my label maker and the Cricut Creative Memories This & That cartridge.  She leaves in a few weeks and I am sad to say I won't have this album done, busy creating more memories to scrap!

Thank you for your visit,  I hope you'll return again soon!

Red for Heart Health

Hello and happy Friday, its so cold here today nothing like the nice temps we had earlier this week and they are calling for frost tonight.  I'm back today to share a LO that I created for Women's Heart Health when my daughter and I wore red the first Friday in February.  I think I used the cricut Mickey font cartridge for the lettering and the heart, didn't note it when I put the LO together during last month's crop.  The polka dot paper was left over from another project, added a few sequins and this LO was done.    I'm sharing this LO for the Cardz TV Anything Goes Designer Challenge #4.  Thank you for your visit and I hope you'll come back again soon.

Volleyball LO

Hello Monday, we still have snow so no school today.  We did not go out  of the house at all yesterday,  when I wasn't eating or lying down I played!  Today I am sharing my first LO for 2017, I have the same goal as the last few years; one LO per week!  I am also back on my challenge of spending less or rather only buying what is needed.  This LO uses pictures from one of our daughter's volleyball games last fall.  After taking the picture I realized I should have added her number and the name of the team they were playing.  I used Thickers for the title and Recollections, Studio 112 and Life's Little Occasions stickers.  The  paper is from the DCWV High School paper stack which by the way includes sports pages but not the ones I need!  Another memory documented, on to the next!

Back To School

Hello Saturday, I trust that you had a wonderful holiday and have started to get back into your routines.  My holiday was very low key without a lot of fanfare as I needed the downtime.  I didn't do any Black Friday shopping either, I went to just two stores looking for my daughter's homecoming dress or rather pants this time.  She was not with me so I was done in about an hour!  Today I am sharing one of the LOs that finished with the last few days, it uses pictures taken as we were leaving home on the first day of school in September. on the first day of school. I used pattern paper from the DCWV Homeroom paper stack along with other paper and embellishments from my stash.  So happy to have another LO done.

Wednesday Wanderings

Hello and happy hump day, I was out of the office yesterday and was planning to post but as life would have it I didn't get around to it.  I am looking forward to the forecast for some cooler temps.  I am thinking about taking off as I am feeling a little drained.  My daughter came home on Monday asking me to cover one of her composition books and of course I was happy to do it, so today I am sharing what I did for her.  She did give me some guidelines and she was pleased with the way that it turned out. I couldn't get a very good picture!  I used paper from the DCWV  High School paper pad and a piece from the Glittzy pad for the spine (which I may have to change).  I used one of the dies that I ordered off Ebay from China and one from Crafter's Companion which has her name on it.

Thank you for your visit and I hope you will come back again soon!

Hello Tuesday

It's the first day of school, the official end of summer vacation!  I am up getting a little "me time" in before I start getting ready for work, I feel asleep last night before sharing this post!  Today I am sharing a LO that I recently completed using pictures taken of our daughter during the closing of the summer program that she attended.  She attended a five week Math Science Investigator program at the University of Richmond.  She worked in a lab and this was the poster presentation of what she learned.  All items used on the LO has been in my stash for a while with the exception of the paper which came from one of my many recent Tuesday Morning purchases.  The paper is from the WeR Memory Keeper Jet Set paper pad.

Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a wonderful week and first day of school for the kids that are starting today!

You Got This

Hello, happy Friday, it's a holiday weekend!  Do you have plans as summer comes to an end?  We won't be doing too much just getting ready for the start of the school year which brings me to day's post.   I am sharing one of the cards that I made for our  daughter as she prepares for the first day of school on Tuesday.  I used  a kraft card base, some paper from a TPC Studio Homeroom paper pad, a WeR Memory Keepers embossing strip, and a pencil diecut from the  Simply Charmed cricut cartridge.   I am sharing this card for the Back to School challenge over at Bitten by the Bug2.   So proud of myself that I am using items that I recently purchased rather than letting them sit unopened/unused!

Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a safe and fun holiday.
