Monday Musings

It's Monday night and time for bed and I am just sharing this post!  Life has really been "lifing" and I am  feeling like we just can't catch a break and to top it off we are under an extreme heat advisory this week.  Today's card share is a clean and simple card created using sketch inspiration from Freshly Made Sketches #691, papers and anchor embellishment from Creative Memories and enamel dots from Gina Marie Designs.  I think I'll hold on to this card for a minute because I'm needing a little encouragement myself!

Thank you for your visit, take care and hurry back soon.

Warmest Wishes

Hello and happy Thursday, cold outside and the forecast calls for some winter mix this weekend.  Today I am sharing another holiday card created using sketch inspiration from  Freshly Made Sketches #316.  The glittered cardstock is some that has been in my stash for a while, I think it is from Studio G.  The snowflake patter paper is another sheet from the American Crafts Hot Cocoa paper pad, added a few Studio G gems and some Wink a Stellar (which is barely visible) and a stamped sentiment and this card was done!  I'm sharing this card for the Anything Goes Challenge #24 over at Cardz TV and challenge #104 - Winter Wonderland over at Love to Scrap Challenge Blog.  Take care, stay warm and come back again soon!

Happy Easter

Hello and Happy Resurrection, wishing you and yours a wonderfully blessed day.  I am going to visit my parents again today, I don't feel like making the drive and nor will I  arrive in time for church but  I feel like I really need to spend more time with my family. Today I am sharing a super simple card that I just completed this morning, I only made two Easter cards this year so I didn't send any out.  I used  scrap paper from a Momenta 6x6 paper pad, one of my neglected embossing folders, the heart die cur came from the cricut Designer Calendar cartridge, a Gina Marie die for the slop and the sentiment was heat embossed.  I am sharing this card for challenge #283 over  at Freshly Made Sketches and challenge #312 over at Die Cuttin' Divas.  Take care and have a good day.

Hello

It's Sunday and the start of another work week and I'm starting early.  I'm stopping by today with a driveby post as there just never seems to be enough time!  Today I am sharing another clean and simple card that I created using sketch inspiration from Freshly Made Sketches.  I used TH distress ink for the base of the card (hard to see in the picture),  scraps from my stash, cut the little sail boat with my SLICE, a stamp and a few sequins and this card was done.  This card is going postal to a little boat that recently lost his mother so we are sending him and his brother care packages.  Take care and have a wonderful week.

Love

Wow, it's Monday already I need another weekend day what happened I didn't get everything checked off my to do list!  Today I am back sharing another card that I created for the card angel group on FB.  I made this card for a couple that recently adopted their third child, as I read that love is another word for adoption.  Skerch inspiration for the card came from sketch #276 over at Freshly Made Sketches.  I found the mostly used paper kit that I used to make the card while I was looking for something else, the sentiment was one of the stickers in the kit and the heart was something I didn't use on another project.   Oh well off to the races, wishing you and yours a wonderful week.

Wednesday Musings

Hello and happy Wednesday, we have had seasonal Fall temps the last few days.  Today is the final day of volleyball season so it will culminate our daughter's junior varsity team participation.  It has been both challenging and frustrating at times but she made it through and was actually selected team captain.  We are looking forward to her continued growth in the sport so we will be seeking other opportunities for her now that the school season is over.  Today I am sharing a card that I put together using sketch #259 from Freshly Made Sketches after seeing  a card that my friend Felisa from The ScrapinDiva shared on her blog using the same sketch.  I used paper from my scrap stash that came from a Darice Embellished by Dena paper pad, a Spellbinder die and a few enamel dots and the card was done.  Thank you for your visit, I hope you'll come back again soon.

Friday Musings

Today's card is one that I put together using more scraps from one  of the projects that I worked on at the retreat.  I still need to share that project once I embellish the cover.  The card sketch inspiration came from sketch #208 over at Freshly Made Sketches.  I am also sharing this card for this week's super scraps challenge over at  Hiding in my Craft Room and the ribbon challenge over at Use Your Stuff.

This week has gone by so fast and of course I have not been able to keep up.  It is almost 11:00 pm but I wanted to share before I go to bed for the night.  I am trying to stay awake as my daughter is out at a concert, her first without me or her father.  She is not without family supervision as my brother-in-law is her chaperone for the evening, DH is working and I wasn't up for it!
