Language Land

I am so ready for school to end because sometimes I feel like I'm going through the 7th grade too!  Today I'm sharing one of the last projects that my daughter had to turn in for this school year, it is a game that she modeled after the child hood game Candy Land and she named hers Language Land as it is is about figurative language.  As usual she had a good idea in her head but when it came time to pull it all together and the fact that she waited  this is the final project even though I said I  wasn't going to help!

The base is foam core board, the colored path squares she punched with an EK Success punch.  The two bridges, tree, bear, water, birds, frog and arrows were cut from several cricut cartridges.  The caged tiger at the finish line is a file from the Silhouette online store; the  tiger is her school's mascot.  The base of the question cards is a cricut die cut.

The game pieces were made with a small die cut and a binder clip.  The cuts included a bear, butterfly, monkey and a snake all cut with the cricut with the exception of the bear, I used the SLICE.  Wishing you and yours a blessed day.

Ingenious! Mom and die-cutting machines to the rescue! School's done here and my DS just finished 7th grade as well. However, as a teacher to this age group please be warned when I tell you that they don't get any better as 8th graders. In fact, my philosophy is once 7th grade is over, the little darlings should be put to sleep until they reach 10th grade!
