Birthday Greetings

Hello and happy Sunday and the start to a new week! Doing an early morning drive by post to share another birthday card that will be going postal tomorrow!  I sure hope the postal service cooperates and get this to the recipient in a timely manner!  I used sketch inspiration #670 from Atlantic Hearts.  Another card where the paper does all the work, used more papers from the K&Co Antique Garden paper pad, a tag cut apart from a single sheet of Jen Hatfield birthday sentiments.  Finished the card by adding a bow and a few CTMH sequins. The papers used came from an Ollies discount store and the bow cut with the Recollections bow dies set; both items recently added to my stash. Shame on me for adding to my stash, I need to stop watching haul videos!

Thank you for your visit continue to be safe and hurry back again soon.

Black History Month

Hello and happy Wednesday, as February comes to an end I wanted share a card that I created for BHM, although I celebrate all year not just February.  This year marks the 100th year of officially celebrating Black History Month.

For my card I used sketch inspiration from Try a Sketch on Tuesday challenge #689.  I used items that have been in stash for years with the exception of the one piece of paper that I recently picked up from Michaels.  I made several projects using the one sheet of Recollections double sided paper.  I also used some random embossing folders, my Cricut to cut the sentiment and a Sizzix stamp set for the word celebrate which was heat embossed.

CIU #349 - Makes Me Happy

Hello and happy Friday, here to share my design team project for the Cut it Up challenge blog. The theme for challenge #349 is This Makes me Happy. I decided to create a layout using some pictures of me, my children and my dad  taken after the celebration of my mom's life service last year.  Family is all we have and anytime I spend with my family is usually happy even though it may not be a happy occasion. We are coming up on a year and it is still hard, I know that there is no time limits related to grief so I try not to dwell on the loss.

When I created my layout I used miscellaneous papers from various paper pada or packages.  I used two different die sets to cut the hearts and my Cricut to cut the word family, used some Echo Park stickers for the word love,  added some Prima flowers and a few gems and this layout was done.  I had a hard time getting a good picture. I am sharing this layout for the Anything Goes challenge #177 over at Love to Scrap.

I hope you will visit the Cut it Up challenge blog for more inspiration.  Create and share your project using a die and the theme, the challenge starts today ands Monday, February 16, 2026 at noon PST.
