Monday Musings

Hello and happy Monday, a new work week and a chance to do and be better!  Doing a quick drive by post to share another card, I hope to get my New Years cards in the mail by the end of the week. The inspiration for this card came from a YT video.  I embossed the base, added some banners and cut the numbers using my Cricut.  Finished the card by adding a stamped sentiment and some star gems.  I am sharing this card for the Superstars challenge #538 over at Shopping Our Stash.

Thank you for your visit, take care and hurry back soon!

CIU #294 - Anything Goes

Hello and happy Friday, let the weekend begin!  Today's project share is the card that I prepared for the Cut it Up challenge blog challenge #294; the theme is Anything Goes.

When putting my card together I used sketch inspiration from Sketch N Scrap card challenge #256, some random papers that were sitting my desk, a circle die, use my Cricut to cut the numbers, added some faux stitching, and stamped the sentiment with a Spellbinders stamp.  Added some Recollections pearls and the card was done, I will make a few more and put them in the mail to family and friends. I am sharing this card for the Winter Holidays challenge #512  over at Shopping Our Stash.

I hope that you will visit the Cut it Up challenge blog for more design team inspiration.  Create and share your project using a die, the challenge starts today and ends Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at noon PST.

Thank you for your visit, continue to be safe and hurry back soon!

Hello 2021

Hello Tuesday, seasonal temps in today’s forecast; doing a quick drive by post as I should be getting ready for work. Today’s card share is one created using mostly scraps as I have a hard time tossing leftovers from other projects.  I needed some black and white striped paper so I just made my own, used a doily gifted me several years ago, cut the numbers using a piece of glittery card stock, stamped the sentiment with a Fiskars stamp and finished the card by adding a few sequins. I am sharing this card for the word challenge #565 over at Just us Girls and the Anything Goes challenge #131 over at Cardz TV.

Thank you for your visit, continue to be safe and hurry back soon.

Happy New Year

Hello and happy Wednesday, we are preparing to say good-by 2020 and hello 2021!  Today's card share is a New Years card that I created using some inspiration from Instagram over at @CraftyDares.  The dare was to complete a project using black and gold, Happy New Year and 2021, I accepted the dare using some Recollections 110 lb paper for the base and some DCWV glitzy gold card stock, along with a firework cut from the Stand and Salute Cricut cartridge, used my SLICE machine to cut the sentiment and the CTMH Artiste Cricut cartridge for the numbers.  I added some foam adhesive after cutting the firework die, I will need to do that before cutting it the next time!  I am sharing this card for challenge #195 - New Years over at Always Fun Challenges.  This card is done and has gone postal!

Thank you for your visit and continue to stay safe; I hope you'll come back on Friday for my latest DT project for the Cut it Up challenge blog.

Happy New Year

Hello and Happy 2020, cool temps and clear skies in today’s forecast.  I am doing a quick drive by post to share some cards that I put together this morning, if they look familiar they are the same style as the cards that I did last year but never mailed them.  I used the Cricut Days and Dates cartridge, some Recollections silver foil paper and a Paper Studio stamp for the sentiment.  I only sent out a few Christmas cards so I am hoping to get these cards in the mail within the next two days.  I'm sharing this post for the Bitten by the Bug 2 use a number challenge.

Thank you for your visit and I Hope you’ll return soon.

Celebrate

Hello and happy New Year's Eve, mild temps and rain in our area.  Today I am sharing a card that can easily be mass produced to share with family and friends.  Inspiration to create this card came after I watched Tracy's video, she is one of the designers on May May Made It blog.  On this card I used glittered card stock for the year but on my other cards I used some Making Memories Slice metallic paper, I cut the year using the Days and Dates Cricut cartridge, a Pink & Main Stitched Rectangle die for the layer and a stamped sentiment. I'm sharing this card for challenge #91 over at Always Fun Challenges.  I almost made my daily posting challenge for December only missed three days!

Thank you for your visit, be safe and enjoy if you're going out tonight.  I hope you'll come back again soon!

Happy New Year

Hello and happy cold Thursday morning, doing a quick driveby post.  Today's card share is one created using sketch inspiration from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #296.  I still have my Christmas papers out so I just decided to use a piece of pattern paper from one of the Craft Smith gold foil paper pads and some Recollections gold fold paper, a stamp from one of the Cardz TV stamp sets and a few cuts from the  Create a Critter 2 Cricut cartridge.  I didn't get to send some Christmas cards to my neighbors so I am trying to get a few New Years done within the next few days!

Take care and have a terrific Thursday! I hope you'll come back tomorrow as I'll be sharing my latest design team project for the Cut it Up challenge blog.

Happy New Year

We made it another year, so thankful for God's grace and mercy as it has not been easy.  Wishing you and yours a year of good health, abundant happiness, love and wealth in 2017.  Today I am sharing some of the notecards that I put together for my neighbors and coworkers.  I sprayed the card base with Mister Huey gold color mist, used more paper from the Paper House pad, a Spellbinders die and the 2017 that I cut with the my cricut.  I have just a few more to put together and they will be done.  Thank you for your visit and I hope you'll come back soon, happy 2017!

Happy New Year

All the best to you and your family in 2015.  Today I am sharing some cards that I decided to put together yesterday for New Years.  I didn't send out very many Christmas cards so I decided to send out a few New Years cards.  I'm not sure why all of a sudden I am into lamp post so I used one from the silhouette store and one from the Graphically Speaking cricut cartridge.   I used paper from a DCWV 6x6 paper pad called Twinkle Glints and I added some actate behind the glass part of the lamp even though you can't see it in the picture.   I made a few other cards that I may share before they go postal.

Take care and have a great weekend.

Hello Wednesday

Hello and welcome to the first "Whatever Wednesday" for 2014.  Today I'm sharing a card that I made using a cut file that I purchased from The Cutting Cafe.  I  cut the file with my silhouette using some black cardstock, added a layer of  pattern paper,  added a little bling and two little glasses that I cut with my slice and the card was done!  I didn't send out any Christmas cards so my intention was to make New Year's cards but I'm not sure if that's going to happen either!  Since this one card is done it will be going postal soon and this may be the only one that I send!

The weekly blog challenges over at Scraps of Color is in full force again this year so I'll be sharing this card for the first challenge of the new year.  I'm already behind, I think we may be on week three already.

Wishing you and yours a wonderful Wednesday!

Happy New Year

Wishing you and yours a healthy and happy 2011.

This is only the second day of the year but I'm off and running at full speed as I've got lots to do! DH came home from the hospital on Friday so that was a blessing having our family back together as the new year came in (even though DH and I both were asleep) when the clock struck 12! I have to sit down long enough today today to map out our schedule since school starts back tomorrow for DD, I have to go to work and I have to coordinate DH's care during my absence. Please continue to pray for our family during this next phase of our journey.

I do hope that someday I'll have the time to scrap again as I'm still taking pictures almost everyday! Besides I got a new camera for Christmas and I hope to enroll in a class at some point to learn how to use it. I got my first DSLR which is a big deal since I don't think I've mastered using point and shoot camears yet!
