CIU #256 - Summer Lovin'

Hello and happy Friday, welcome to the weekend!  Today's card share is my latest design team project for the Cut it Up challenge blog.  The theme for challenge #256 is Summer Lovin' and the sponsor is Your Next Stamp.

When putting this card together I used sketch inspiration from Try Stampin' on Tuesday  challenge #564,  papers from the Photoplay Summer Daydreams 6x6 paper pad, the Doodlecharms Cricut cartridge for the popsicle, an unbranded die for the sentiment and a Recollections gem.  This card came together nicely even though I labored over the paper choices!

Now you should visit the Cut it Up challenge blog for more inspiration, create and share your Summer Lovin' project using a die.  You could win a $20 gift code from Your Next Stamp, the challenge starts today and ends Wednesday, July  27, 2022 at noon EST.

Thank you for your visit, take care and cool as you enjoy your weekend. I hope you'll visit again soon!

Holiday Blessings

Hello and happy Friday, the weekend came quick!   I meant to share this card yesterday but our family is going through an emotional journey right now so my play time may be a little hit or miss. Today I am sharing another Christmas card which means I'm on a roll!  Sketch inspiration for this card came from Tuesday Morning Sketches #411, pattern paper from Doodlebug Designs Santa Express, unbranded dies for the bow and the stitched squares and the Cricut Doodlecharms cartridge for the trees.  I'm sharing this card for the Christmas in July Challenges over at Cardz TV and Cut it Up!  Thank you for visit, have a wonderful weekend.

Yes We Did

Its cool and chilly on a beautiful Tuesday morning; I'm still dragging along but I'm still thankful.  I don't want to take anything for granted because I know that others are going through too.  Today I'm sharing a LO that I started last night and finished this morning.  I completed this LO for a challenge over at Stampin Dymonz Scrap Shack, I didn't make the posting deadline but I did finish it.  The LO uses pictures taken at the two grassroot rallies that I attended during the election ; along with a picture of the map showing the electoral votes.  I used don juan to cut the title,  doodlecharms for the flower border and the I Voted was a digital freebie (I can't remember who offered it though) Take care and enjoy your day.

Using Vinyl w/the Cricut

Today I'm sharing a vinyl project that I finished a few days ago. The girl scouts are going to Washington, DC this weekend as part of their 100th anniversary so my daughter wanted a water bottle to take along with her. Funny how she wanted it for her trip this weekend but she has been carrying it to school for the past few days. I had a hard time photographing it but I did want to share it since she's so proud of it. It has her name on it (of course) and two butterflies and a ladybug(her pet peeve name from her father). I used the pooh font cartridge for her name, doodlecharms for the ladybug and wall decor and more for the butterflies.

Pumpkin Pickin'

I'm having a good time trying to complete at least one LO a week which about all I can sneak in right now! This is a LO that I completed of DD choosing her pumpkins last year! The LO was inspired by a LO posted in an old quarterly Scrapbooking magazine sold at HL. I used the cricut cartridges Simply Charmed and Old West for the first time so of course I was happy.

Over at Scraps of Color, the weekend card challenges for the month of July was to create various holiday cards. Card challenges included a blue Christmas card, a card with a Christmas tree (non-green), a card with no red or green and finally a Kwanzaa card. Don't be surprised if you receive one of these cards this holiday season!

March Craft Madness

Photobucket

I created this LO and submitted it for a challenge over on Scraps of Color. I hadn't completed a two page LO in forever! It is a LO of the craft projects that DD completed during National Craft Month at Michaels. She painted on canvas, decorated eggs, painted on a t-shirt and made a ladybug flowerpot.

DD's Card

Photobucket
I've got another cardmaker in my house, this is a card completed by DD after she watched the My Pinkstamper DVD. She used doodle charms for the ice cream cone, the happy birthday cuttlebug folder and one of the studio G stamps for the happy birthday.
