Hello December

Hello Wednesday and welcome December!  Today's drive by post is a picture of some of the items that I will be using for a month long project.  I have decided to do a December Daily for this year, which is a tall  order for someone that can't handle crafting deadlines; I'm trying it again after I didn't follow through last year!  The kit the I'm using is a Bella Blvd,  free standing mini album that I picked up from Tuesday morning I think in October.  I am on the hunt for some page sleeves because the ones that came with the kit won't be enough and that may be game changer if I can't replace them.  My strategy is to take pictures and notes daily and then work on the actual project every few days, I know that I won't follow through trying to do it everyday; some days it may just be journaling depending on how I'm feeling.  I hope to have something to share by the weekend.

Thank you for your visit, stay safe and hurry back.

December Daily

Hello, happy Sunday and first day of December, rain and cool temps in our area today.  Baby Girl will be going back to school today, she will be back in 11 days for her winter break.  I think I may have mentioned earlier that one of my scrappin' besties suggested that we do a December Daily, after watching several YT videos I decided to try a memory/rolodex style daily.  Today's project share is a few of the prep cards that I created using misc. papers, dies, stickers and embellishments.  I sure hope I can keep up with this as I do have a lot going on right now.  My plan is to share periodic updates, I am sure I won't snap a picture everyday but I will at least journal!

Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a wonderful week.

Celebrate

Hello and happy New Year's Eve, mild temps and rain in our area.  Today I am sharing a card that can easily be mass produced to share with family and friends.  Inspiration to create this card came after I watched Tracy's video, she is one of the designers on May May Made It blog.  On this card I used glittered card stock for the year but on my other cards I used some Making Memories Slice metallic paper, I cut the year using the Days and Dates Cricut cartridge, a Pink & Main Stitched Rectangle die for the layer and a stamped sentiment. I'm sharing this card for challenge #91 over at Always Fun Challenges.  I almost made my daily posting challenge for December only missed three days!

Thank you for your visit, be safe and enjoy if you're going out tonight.  I hope you'll come back again soon!

Open House

Hello and happy Sunday, more seasonal temps in the forecast today with a forecast for more rain later this week.  Today I am sharing LO #27, my last LO for 2018, I'd like to get a few more done but I know I can't!  This LO uses sketch inspiration from  Sketch N Scrap challenge #166, I like their sketches and I try to complete at least two of them each month.  I also participate in their FB online crops.    The papers came from the Lori Whitlock kit, The Story of Our Family, Jillibean Soup Bean Board Alphas for the title and some wood veneer embellishments.   I am sharing this LO for the Anything Goes challenge #484 over at Tuesday Morning Sketches.

Thank you for your visit, hope you continue to enjoy time with family and friends.

Happy Birthday

Hello and happy Saturday, more mild temps and  no rain in today's forecast.  We are going to visit my family today and we will be celebrating one of my aunt's 60th birthday.  Today's project uses sketch inspiration from Sketch N Scrap. card sketch # 136. The paper scraps came from the DCWV Indian Summer Fall Stack 12x12 paper pad, I used both C..C. designs and Sizzix dies for the balloons.  A heat embossed stamped sentiment  completes this card and it  is a ready to go postal.

Happy New Year

Hello and happy cold Thursday morning, doing a quick driveby post.  Today's card share is one created using sketch inspiration from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #296.  I still have my Christmas papers out so I just decided to use a piece of pattern paper from one of the Craft Smith gold foil paper pads and some Recollections gold fold paper, a stamp from one of the Cardz TV stamp sets and a few cuts from the  Create a Critter 2 Cricut cartridge.  I didn't get to send some Christmas cards to my neighbors so I am trying to get a few New Years done within the next few days!

Take care and have a terrific Thursday! I hope you'll come back tomorrow as I'll be sharing my latest design team project for the Cut it Up challenge blog.

Celebrate the Season

Hello and happy Wednesday, the day after Christmas; I am heading in to work today since I stayed in all day yesterday!  I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and that you enjoyed time with family and friends.  Today  is my parents anniversary I hope their card arrives as it seems a lot of my Christmas cards haven't made it to their destination yet.

Today's project share is another Christmas card that I made using sketch inspiration for the online crop being hosted by Sketch N Scrap on FB.  I used more paper from the American Crafts paper pad, an unbranded die for the stitched circle, a Spellbinders label die and some enamel dots.  I am sharing this card for Any Holiday challenge #384 over at Hiding in my Craft Room and the Anything Goes challenge #79 over at Cardz TV.

Thank you for your visit, hope you have a wonderful Wednesday and that you will return again soon. I failed at posting daily this month but such is life!

Wednesday Wanderings

Hello and happy Wednesday cloudy skies in our area today.  I'm doing a quick driveby post to share a smaller version of the open door card that I created for my daughter.  I just reduced the size of the card base and adjusted the scoring and panel layers.  I inked the door layers, cut the wreaths using the Joys of the Season Cricut cartridge, added some stickles and bows made with twine.  The inside panel has a stamped sentiment and a die cut tree.  I'm sharing this for the Happy Holidays challenge #400 over at Die Cuttin' Divas.

Thank you for your visit and come back soon!

Tags

Hello and happy Monday afternoon, I'm back today to share another super clean and simple project.  I received some stickers as part of a gift and decided to make some tags.  I just pulled some unused scraps of paper from my stash used a die to cut the tags, added some ink splatters, the stickers, some twine and some leftover die cuts from other projects and they are ready to be used.  I was thinking of gifting some handmade tags but since I only made a few I will probably use them myself!  I'm sharing this project for the Anything Goes December challenge #29 over at Love to Craft Challenge Blog.

Thank you for your visit, hope you'll return soon!

Open Door Card

Hello and happy Saturday, rain and more rain with the forecast for some possible flooding.  Today's card share is one that I made for a holiday card swap.  After watching the YT video shared on Scrapbooking with M.E. I knew I wanted to try it!  I like it but I may try to make a smaller version since my daughter said she wanted it for herself.  If you visit her blog or YT channel you can see the tutorial, I made a few minor adjustments, I used stickles for the snow drops and some adhesive nail heads for the door knobs.  I'm sharing this card for the Anything Goes challenge #78 over at Cardz TV.

Thank you for your visit, have a great weekend.

Hello and happy Friday, rain in the forecast for our area.  Today I am sharing a card created for the Cut it Up challenge blog, the theme this time is Tic-Tac-Toe and the sponsor for this challenge is Newton's Nook.

Friends

Hello and happy Thursday, two hour school delay this morning and cloudy skies in our area today. Speaking of school I'm sharing another LO created for one of Baby Girl's albums.  I am trying to complete at least five more LOs by the end of the year.  This LO uses sketch inspiration from one of the challenges from the Merry & Bright online crop hosted on FB by Sketch N Scrap.  Most of the papers used came from an old paper pad that I picked up in TM a few years ago.  I struggled with the LO sketch but I think that it came out fine, I tried to pull some of the colors from both of their clothing.  The base of the LO has embossed dots, I cut the stitched circles for the title using an unbranded die set, used Love Nicole letter dies, painted the butterfly and added some wink a stellar to the stars.  Another LO done with the exception of the journaling which will be hidden.

Take care and hurry back tomorrow for my latest design team project.

Reindeer Greetings

Hello and happy cold Tuesday, another inclement weather day for the kids but duty calls and I am going to work.  Today's card share uses sketch inspiration from the December card sketch over at Stick it Down.  The paper came from one of the AC paper pads that I think was originally sold in Target but I picked mine up in TM.  I used the Create-a-Critter 2 Cricut cartridge to cut the reindeer, used a glitter pen for the stitching and stamped the sentiment.   Another card created and going postal for the card angel group.  I am sharing this card for the Christmas card challenge over at Bitten by the Bug 2.

Joy

Hello and happy Monday afternoon, I weathered the snow and came in to work this afternoon.  So I'm doing a quick driveby post of a card that I put together using sketch inspiration from card sketch #135 over at Sketch N Scrap.  The card came together rather quickly, I used pattern paper from the My Mind's Eye Christmas Wish 6x6 paper pad, I have just a few sheets and some scraps left and this pad will be done!  The sentiment is a cut apart from a Simple Stories Classic Christmas 6x6 paper pad.  I'm sharing this card for the Anything Goes challenge #77 over at  Cardz TV.

Thank you for your visit and I hope you'll return soon.
