Graduation

It's that time of year, let the celebrations begin!  Today I am sharing one of the cards that I made for one of the graduates; used more of my stash, cut the caps with the Locket Talk cricut cartridge.  I should have made the card larger as I had to cut the inside message short.   I will just continue to send her encourage communication as she continues on with her graduate studies.

We are in Virginia Beach as we will be attending the graduation ceremonies for Virginia Wesleyan College later this morning.  We went to the Baccalaureate ceremony last night and will be attending one family celebration tonight here and another one next week in Richmond.  So happy for the graduates and the parents!

Take care and make it a great day.

Hello Friday

Today I am sharing a project using a stamp that I have been hoarding, I have way too much stuff that just sits unused.  The stamp used on the card is from the Kinky Girl set and the sentiment is from the Sorority set both from Pink Bow Ties.  One of my problems is that I can't really color which is strange because I don't have a problem using crayons but when it's time to use markers and colored pencils I usually wind up tossing the project into the trash.   I used Spectrum markers to color the stamp and  added stickers to the headband.  I used some of the leftover paper from the Easter LO so I am sharing this card for the Super Scraps Saturday #198 challenge over at Hiding in my Craft Room.

Today we are going to Virginia Beach for college graduation ceremonies and celebrations for two young women.  Take care and have a wonderful weekend.

Whatever Wednesday

This week has been really draining but I'm still standing even though I am feeling a bit emotional.  I am needing to take care of myself but right now I am putting my own care on hold to care for others. That being said just lift a sister up in prayer!

Today's LO is one that uses pictures taken of our daughter on Easter Sunday.  We were going into my in-laws house for dinner and I realized I hadn't taken any pictures of her in her dress.  She rarely ever wears dresses now so it was a big deal and she really liked it, blue is her favorite color.  I like how this one turned out, it's another signature simple LO using DCWV papers, Recollections burlap flowers, pearls, a dress cut file from the Silhouette online store and some number stickers that have been in my stash forever.  I just need to add some journaling.

Take care and have a wonderful day.

Teacher Appreciation Cards

Where has the time gone!  I can't believe how far I am behind with my crafting and everything else.  I really need some organization help, there just always seems to be so much to do and not enough time!  I was up until 3:00 am Friday morning working on my daughter's Teacher Appreciation gifts, they were almost hot off the press when it was time for us to head out the door.  I didn't get to take a picture of the monogrammed candy dishes only this not so good picture of the cards.  I used misc paper scraps, stickers, stamps and my expression to make the cards.

I decided to share only because my daughter will be starting high school next year so this will probably be the last year we do Teacher Appreciation!  Take care and have a wonderful week.

Happy Mother's Day

Today I am sharing a Mother's Day card using the sketch inspiration from Clean & Simple Stamping. I used some paper from the My Mind's Eye 6x6 Indie Chic paper pad.  All items were from my stash, some of it a little longer than I care to admit.  I only completed a few Mother's Day cards so I had to buy most of my cards from Hallmark and the grocery store.  I know shame on me but sometimes life gets the best of you; I am just so behind!

Take care end enjoy today and have a great week!

Science Project

I have been a little under the weather so I haven't really been crafting which means I haven't finished my Teacher Appreciation and Mother's Day cards.  I did manage to finish another LO for my daughter's school album which is what I'm sharing today.  This is the edited version of her Science project LO,  I changed the title after I had shared it for a FB challenge group yesterday!  I used DCWV papers, sticker embellishments from Recollections and jellies from Queen & Co.  I cut the title using the CTMH Artiste cricut cartridge.

Take care and enjoy your day.

Hello May

It's time to get back to work in the morning, where does the time go?  I had too much on my plate, only got one LO started for NSD, finished it before church this morning!  I went out of town after church so I am just getting a chance to post it.

Today's LO uses pictures from our daughter's trip to the emergency room earlier this year.  I may have shared in an earlier post that she fainted and hit her head.  After a trip to her pediatrician she advised us to take her to the emergency room.  Once all the bills came in I was thinking well what did the insurance cover!  Since the base of the LO is so busy and I wanted to use all three pictures I kept the embellishments to a minimal!  The doodle circle is a file from the Silhouette online store and  the hospital is a cut from the Everday Paper Dolls cricut cartridge.  Thickers for the title along with a few other items from my stash and my19th LO for this year was done!

Wishing you and yours a wonderful week!
