Its Thursday and I finally finished a LO to post, haven't felt much like scrappin' I just don't have the energy. I do have the desire but emotionally I just can't seem to do it. My sister is headed back to Alabama later today for more test.
So today's LO is one that I completed for day 11 of the Summertime and the Scrappin' is Easy workshop hosted by Tiare from iClassygirl, I am so far behind but I do plan to finish the workshop. This LO uses some school age pictures of DH, I will probably use them again with some pictures of our daughter at the same age. All items from my stash, the main challenge was to use metal embellishments, I also used washi tape and ribbon. Take care and have a great day!
WELCOME
Thank you for stopping by and sharing my world. Enjoy, leave a comment if you desire and return at your convenience.

Spring Concert
Yesterday was the last day of school and today starts the summer schedule of activities; DD is headed to Etiquette Camp this morning. Although I didn't take lots of pictures of DD last school year I'm still not done with scrappin' the 6th grade. Today I'm sharing a LO that I did for this month's Spreecast Pajama Party hosted by Tiare from iClassygirl. I wasn't able to get very good pictures because of where I was sitting in the auditorium and the music stands. I used the DCWV Latte paper pack, some leftover stickers from my stash and the cricut quarter note cartridge to cut the clarinet. DD has done very well this year in the band and has maintained her 'first chair" status which makes us proud. Have a great weekend!

Wednesday Wanderings
Welcome to another edition of Wednesday Wanderings! This is the last week of school for our daughter and I'm doing a happy dance because we made it through 6th grade! It has been a year of mixed emotions for everybody; so when the notice came home about the 6th grade awards ceremony she promptly informed me that I didn't have to attend. Of course my feelings were hurt and I didn't know how to take the comment, she followed it with her teachers had been telling them that this is middle school and you had to do something 'award worthy' to be recognized. In my mind she had been a good student so she should be recognized, I didn't say anything I just decided maybe she just didn't want me to be there front and center camera in hand! So when I picked her up yesterday she was dancing a gig running to show me her awards, I was so mad that I had let her deprive me of that moment, she received 4 awards and I wasn't there to see it. She got scolded by her older brother who reminded her that he had to go through and she has to do the same! My husband on the other hand said to me when did you start listening to a 12 year old? So lesson learned!

Teacher Appreciation
Its the last day for Teacher Appreciation Week and I was torn with whether I was going to do anything. At the ninth hour last night my daughter asked me when I was going to make the cards; I was up until almost midnight putting four cards together. I used this card that I got from the silhouette store but putting the pieces of the pencils together was a job in itself. I used alphabet stickers on the inside and each teacher got a starbucks gift card. I was in such a hurry that I almost forgot to take a picture!

History LO
I can't believe I finally worked on a LO especially since lately I've only been able to work on cards. Yesterday I decided I would try to work on a few LOs and I was only able to finish this one this morning before heading out to church. I just need to add the journaling. It is a LO using pictures showcasing some of the history projects the students at my daughter's school submitted during February's celebration of Black History Month. As for me and my house we celebrate black history everyday! My daughter chose to do her project on the Honorable Cleo Powell, Virginia's Supreme Court first black female justice. I used my cameo to cut the triange flags (not sure I like them on the LO now), used chipboard letters for the title, and other embellishments from my stash. Have a great week!

Sweet
Hello Monday, I'm back today to share another LO that I completed for the FNC challenges over at Scraps of Color. It was a spring themed LO using a provided sketch that was to include 2 soft colors, 3 flowers and twine. I used my daughter's Spring school pictures and titled the LO Sweet because seeing these pictures reminded me of when she was much younger and wasn't going through the "tween era" This LO was another labor of love as I struggled with how I wanted to showcase these pictures without using any school embellishments. I used misc. paper, flowers from recollections, chipboard title from K&Co, diecuts cut with the cameo and the cricut, bling center for the flowers were from a RAK and misc. other items from my stash. Have a great week and I'm looking forward to some milder temperatures and extended daylight.

Fieldtrip
Today's picture is not a very good one but I thought I'd share it anyway. Today I was a chaperone for my daughter's fieldtrip, we went to a local venue to see A Christmas Carol. They have been reading it in her literature class. It was a beautiful day outside with the temperature being in the mid-70s, I should have taken a picutre outside instead. Oh well, there's always tomorrow!

Hello October
I wanted to post something today since I may not get a chance to post until I get back from my retreat. So today I'm sharing the LO that I put together using pictures taken of our daughter on the first day of school and the sketch inspiration was from Tiare over at iClassygirl. from the Anytime, Anywhere Scapbooking Experience challenge.
Hello Monday and hello October! I've been busy doing what I don't know since I'm way behind in everything! The weekend went way by too fast considering I haven't started packing for my upcoming weekend scrapbook retreat. I'm about to start stressing since I still need to finish a LO before I leave! Wishing everyone a blessed week.
