Love & Joy

Hello and happy cold, thankful Thursday. I am doing a quick drive by post to share another holiday card, getting down to the wire; I just realized that Christmas is just a week away.  Today’s card using sketch inspiration from Fab Friday sketch #203.  I just used miscellaneous scraps of paper from recent projects, a Hampton Arts Clearly Kelly stamp for the sentiment, a penguin die cut from Cardz TV and some gems. Another card done and ready to go postal! I am sharing this card for challenge #193 - Polar Bears/Penguins over at Always Fun challenges and Anything Goes challenge #129 over at Cardz TV.

Thank you for your visit, take care and hurry back.

Rainy Monday

Hello cold and rainy Monday.  I guess I'll have to go for a walk in the mail once I get off work since I wasn't able to get out for lunch! Today's card share is one that I put together for a sketch challenge on one of the FB groups. I used a sheet of pattern paper from the AC Hot Cocoa 6x6 paper pad, a TH tag die which I embossed with a dot embossing folder, a Sizzix die for the cups, a Cottage Cutz die for the bow and a CTMH stamp for the sentiment.  I finished the card off by adding an enamel dot to the middle of the bow.  Another card done and almost ready to go postal for the assisted living center.  I am sharing this card for the December Anything Goes challenge over at Die Cut Divas.

Thank you for your visit, continue to stay safe and hurry back!

CIU #215 - Tic Tag Toe

Hello and happy Friday, let the weekend begin!  Today's project share is my latest design team project for the Cut it Up Challenge blog, the sponsor for challenge #215 is DRS Designs.  We were charged with creating a tag using the following  Tic Tag Toe  board for inspiration:

This is one of those projects that I struggled with because I was finding it hard to bring the picture in my head to the paper. Early on I had selected the star wreath stamp from our sponsor, not sure but for some reason I like wreaths.  I just colored the digital stamp with my color pencil, inked the tag background with a stencil, I used the Joys of the Season cartridge for the bells and the Winter Woodland cartridge for the word Joy which I cut 6 times for some added dimension.; finished it off by adding some red ribbon! I'm sharing this tag for the Bitten by the Bug 2 Die-lirious Holiday Season challenge and The Sisterhood of Crafters Anything Goes Christmas/Winter.

Now that you've seen my tag, I hope you will head on over to the Cut it Up challenge blog for more design team inspiration, create and share your project that includes a tag, a die and elements from the tic-tag-toe board for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate from DRS Designs. The challenge starts today and ends, Wednesday, December 23 at noon EST.

Thank you for your visit, stay safe and have a wonderful weekend.

Happy Birthday

Hello and happy Tuesday, dry and seasonal temps in the forecast for today.  My sleeping is all off track so what do you do when you are awake and can’t go back to sleep at 4 AM.  I decided to get up, do a few chores and have some play time.  I am going back to work today and I have a zoom meeting a few hours after work so I will be ready for bed afterwards.

Today’s card share uses sketch inspiration from Atlantic Hearts sketch #398, papers from the Amy Tangerine Sunshine and Good Times 6x6 paper pad, the Sizzix Triplits dies set for the banner, some ribbon for the bow, some Bo Bunny candy dots (hard to see in the pic) and the Lawn Fawn Happy Happy Happy stamp set for the sentiment. I have mixed feelings about this card, it does look better in person so postal it will go!

Thank you for your visit, stay safe and hurry back.

Monday Musings

Hello Monday, snow flurries in the early morning forecast here but I am about to get dressed for my daily walk! I have been trying to find the energy to post but as life would have it I just couldn’t.

I wanted to briefly share what has been going on.  A few weeks ago my dear MIL suffered a stroke, was released to rehab about a week later, suffered a heart attack within days of being there. She gained her wings on Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving.  Today her immediate family will gather to celebrate her life and lay her to rest next to the love of her life.  My heart is heavy but I am happy for the relationship we shared.

Today’s card share is one that I created this morning using sketch inspiration from Sketch N Scrap card sketch #183, papers from the Simple Stories  Classic Christmas 6x6 paper pad, circle punches, unbranded stitched circle dies, enamel dots and the Cardz TV Stamps  Big Holiday Wishes stamp set for the sentiment. I am sharing this card for the Cardz TV Anything Goes challenge #129.

Thank you for your visit and continue to stay safe.

Hello December

Hello Wednesday and welcome December!  Today's drive by post is a picture of some of the items that I will be using for a month long project.  I have decided to do a December Daily for this year, which is a tall  order for someone that can't handle crafting deadlines; I'm trying it again after I didn't follow through last year!  The kit the I'm using is a Bella Blvd,  free standing mini album that I picked up from Tuesday morning I think in October.  I am on the hunt for some page sleeves because the ones that came with the kit won't be enough and that may be game changer if I can't replace them.  My strategy is to take pictures and notes daily and then work on the actual project every few days, I know that I won't follow through trying to do it everyday; some days it may just be journaling depending on how I'm feeling.  I hope to have something to share by the weekend.

Thank you for your visit, stay safe and hurry back.
