Last Game

Hello and happy Tuesday, nice Fall temps with a forecast of possible rain in the next few days.  Today I am doing a quick drive by post to share a layout using a picture that has been sitting on my desk for some time.  I wasn't going to scrap it because I didn't like the color but such as it is, not sure what happened as I think it was one of the last pictures from my selphy printer.  The picture is one of my daughter and I at a college football game, I decided to add the journaling on the back since it is personal and somewhat emotional.  I used sketch inspiration from Sketch N Scrap #259, the base of the LO is from a Paper Studio paper pack; the pattern paper is a two-sided sheet from Recollections that I picked up from Michaels recently. The other miscellaneous dies, stickers, enamel dots and papers came from my stash.

Thank you for your visit, continue to be safe and hurry back soon.

Season 2

Hello Sunday, the  start of a new week, a new day to try to do better! I am doing a quick drive by post sharing my first LO for the year. My one word for the year is HOPE and I have high HOPES for my crafting life too. I created this LO for a challenge for one my FB groups using one of the pictures taken when we took our daughter back to school in August (for one week).  The papers came from the Park lane Je ne said quoi 12 x 12  paper pad, Thickers for the title, misc. dies, a lunch and the Cricut CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge to cut the tree.  I finished the LO by adding some splatters (still trying to perfect this technique) so I have mixed feelings about it. day. I am stopping in to share my first LO for the year.  Image sharing this LO for the Anything Goes challenge #132 over at Cardz TV.

Thank you for your visit, continue to stay safe and hurry back.

Sunday Musings

Hello and happy Sunday and it has been a really lazy day.  We had church online today so I haven’t been out of the house.  Today I am sharing another LO that I  created for my daughter’s college album. I used pattern papers from an Armed Service Uniform Collection 6x6 paper pad and  some Sticko and TH stickers for the title.   I used lots of intentional stuff on this LO and I have mixed feelings about the end result.  I used a Crafter’s Companion die for the diamonds used as a border and the Stand and Salute Cricut cartridge for the helmet.  I finished the LO with some TH small talk stickers, some Freckled Fawn enamel stars and some Heidi Swapp color shine.  I am a little behind with my creating for National Craft Month since Baby Girl has been home.  Although she is into her own activities and friends, I am cooking and cleaning more!

I am sharing this LO for the  Anything  but a card challenge over at Bitten by the Bug 2 and the Anything Goes challenge #110 over at Cardz TV.

Thank you for your visit wishing you a wonderful week

Girls Rule

Hello and happy sunny Tuesday, mild temps in today's forecast after a cool morning.  Today's project share is a another LO completed for my daughter.  I think it looks better in person, hard to photograph the foil paper.  The pattern papers are from a Paper Studio Be Bold Be Bright paper pad, I cut the title using the Cricut George cartridge and the silhouettes and tag are files from the Silhouette online store. Although I don't care for the limited amount of space I think I'll be making mostly 8 1/2 x 11 LOs for Baby Girl while she's in college.  I'm sharing this LO for the Anything Goes challenge #100 over at Cardz TV and challenge #39 over at Love to Craft challenge blog.

Thanks for your visit, hope you have a terrific Tuesday!

Game Day

I'm back with my second post of the day sharing another 8 1/2 x 11 LO documenting Baby Girl's attendance at her first football game at James Madison University.  I have way too much stuff and recently I have been buying too many clearance items at AC Moore and Hobby Lobby; I have to get back on my no craft spending because I am hoarding rather than using.  On to what I used to create my LO, the pattern sheet used for base is  from Love Nicole (AC Moore) , used some Thickers for the title andsome  recently purchased stickers for the other embellishments.  I even tried to add some ink splatters (hard to see in the pic) and the strip of gold washi is from Recollections.  I'm sharing this LO for the Anything Goes challenge #98 over at CardzTV.

Take care, hope you'll return soon!

First Day

Hello and happy Monday, I meant to share this post yesterday but as life would have it I didn't.  Today's project share is my back to school/first day of college LO for Baby Girl.  Now that she is away at school I have to  rely on her to send me pictures!  This LO came together fairly quickly, I used misc papers, mostly scraps and some AC letters for the title.  The embellishments are from the Papert Studio and were purchased on clearance!  This one of those LOs that I have mixed feelings about and at some point I may redo it, the quality of the pictures and the pattern paper have me second guessing it.  I am sharing this LO for the Just Us Girls Challenge  #504.

Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a wonderful week.

New Home

Hello and happy Sundsay, it's a long holiday weekend and I had time to play!  Today I am sharing a LO that I created using pictures taken at Baby Girl's new home, her college dorm! I struggled with how to embellish this LO because I felt the pictures really told the story but I figured out how to add a few and I was happy with the end result.  I used papers from the Authentique Accomplished Collection 12x12 paper pad, vellum stickers and chipboard letters for the title.  The dorm houses more than just freshmen but since she's a freshmen I decided to use that in the title.  I used the Teen Scene and Mickey & Friends cricut cartridges to cut the doll and paw prints.

Hello Roomie

Hello and happy Friday, more seasonal temps in the forecast.  Today I'm sharing another super simple 8 1/2 x 11 LO using a picture taken when DD met her college roommate at a first year send off event hosted by the parent relations group.  I used a piece of  purple Bazzill card stock for the base,  pattern papers from the Amy Tangerine Sunshine & Good Times 6x6 paper pad, a Momenta sticker  and some Recollections planner stickers for the title.  Added a few misc. embellishments from my stash and this LO was done!  Sharing this LO for the Anything Goes Challenge #97 over at Cardz TV.

Thank you for your visit, have a wonderful holiday weekend.  I hope you will return soon!

Decision Day

Hello and happy Tuesday, wow it has been a little over a week since my last post.  I started this post yesterday but for some reason I didn't publish it.  I had been extremely busy preparing for Baby Girl's departure and now I will be busy trying to get the house in order before she comes back for a visit!  Today I am sharing another LO for her high school album, when she announced which school she would attend.  My brother-in-law went to JMU so he was happy about her choice and came bearing gifts.  I used mostly scraps of paper, stickers, my Cameo to cut the paw prints and the Cricut Locker Talk cartridge for the pennant. Fast forward to Sunday, I am sharing a picture of the sign that I made for out trip to James Madison University to drop her off!

Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a great week.  I hope that I will adjust to my new norm quickly and that I am able to finish my daughter's high school album by family weekend!
