Watch Card

Hello and Happy Monday, glad to be here for another day but feeling like the weekend goes by way too fast!

I did manage to play some so I have a few posts lined up for this week once I put the finishing touches on them.  Today I am sharing a watch card that I made, the inspiration for this card came from Father's Day Watch Card, as stated there are certainly other versions but this is the video that I watched.  She did two different variations in the video but I only had items in my stash for one of them.  The papers that I used are scraps from a 6x6 school themed  paper pad (don't have the name handy right now).  I cut the clock/watch face from a piece of card stock from an old DCWV paper stack called HOME and used a piece of brown ribbon for the band.  The stamped sentiment is from V's Sweet Ideas, I ordered the Suit Up stamp set and it arrived in the mail on Saturday so I used it for this card.

I am sharing today's card for the June challenge over at Mema's Crafts, I was so sorry to read that this would be her final challenge but her blog will remain open.  I am also sharing it for Challenge #203 - Super Scraps Saturday over at Hiding in my Craft Room.

Take care and have a wonderful week.

Wednesday Wandersings

It's Wednesday, let the countdown begin!  So much going on this week so prayers and praises being lifted for people, cities, our leaders and the world.  I am joining others in a global prayer for a brave little girl who is battling cancer, it just breaks my heart but I believe in a God that has no limits so he can heal her body.  I'm praying for the city of Baltimore as there is much to be done, lets get busy!

Today's Mother's day card was made using paper scraps from my stash and several of my Spellbinders Nestabilites.  I have lots of stuff in my arsenal but rarely use it.  The pattern paper came from a Basic Grey 6x6 paper pad that I was gifted in a swap a few years ago. I used a MS punch for the butterflies and a stamp for the sentiment.  I am sharing this card for HIMCR #197 any holiday over at Hiding in my Craft Room and Mema's Crafts anything goes April challenge, must use a die or punch.

Take care and have a great day!

Scripture Journal Post

Can you believe it is the last day of February, heading into the third month of 2015!  Today I am sharing my week 8 post for my artful scripture journal.  This is one of my favorite scriptures and I enjoyed putting this page together.  When I saw this week's verse I knew I wanted to use some of the black and white scraps of paper that I have been hoarding and I just added stickles to outline the lines and added a splash of red to my computer generated lettering.

I also decided to share this for the February blog challenge over at Mema's Crafts for the challenge of using red and white and one other color.

Take care and have a great weekend, I will be trying to stay warm!

Happy Birthday Alexia

Hello Friday and Happy Birthday to my baby sister Alexia.  Today I am sharing the card that I made for her but I don't think it will reach her so she'll have to look at my blog today.  I like how this card came together, I used paper from the Amy Tangerine Sketchbook 6x6 paper pad, the image is one of the Julie Nutting Prima doll stamps colored with water color pencils, corners were cut with the Silhouette Cameo and embellished with Martha Stewart pearls.

I am happy to share this card for three different challenges this week:

Mema's Crafts - January ATG challenge
Hiding in My Craft Room - #183 Color It
Use Your Stuff - #169 Geometic Shapes

Thank you for your visit, take care and enjoy your weekend!

Happy Fall

Back today to share another simple card that I finally had to throw in the towel and call it finished and done!  Originally I was trying to stamp a background but for some reason I could never get it done to my satisfaction so I just decided to use pattern paper instead.  All papers used are from the DCWV Year Round Paper Stack, I used a edge punch and added a leaf brad from my stash.  The sentiment was cut using the Simply Charmed cricut cartridge.  I'm sure I'll be sharing more Fall themed cards within the next few weeks before I pack up for my weekend retreat.

The inspiration and sketch for the card came from Clean & Simple Stamping, I am also sharing this card for the Think Fall challenge over at Hiding in my Craft Room and the Fall Color challenge over at Mema's Crafts.

Exclusively for Men

I started this challenge last week with two Father's Day cards so I am back today with two more cards that can be given to men/boys.  I will be linking this post to Mema's Crafts for her monthly challenge, this month's challenge is to create a masculine themed project.  I deleted my Father's Day pictures in error so I couldn't do a LO for this year. The top card is one where I really like the pattern paper so I didn't add a sentiment, the paper came from the K&Co designer paper pad so I just added some Candy Shoppe jellies to the layers.  The birthday card was made with pattern paper from an Echo Park 6x6 paper pad, some TH gears, ribbon and more jellies.  Wishing you and yours a wonderfully blessed week.

Mother's Day

Mother's Day is Sunday and I have only made a few cards so it looks like I'll be sending out/distributing store bought cards.  All I can say is that I had good intentions!

Today I'm sharing one of the few Mother's Day cards that I did manage to make.  It was a free floral card cut last week from the silhouette online store.  I just added a piece of vellum, the floral corner flourishes also came from the silhouette store, the purple pearls have been in my stash for a while.  The inside sentiment just says Happy Mother's Day!

I'm sharing this card for week #17 blog challenge over at Scraps of Color and the monthly challenge over at Mema's Crafts.  Thank you for your vist, hope you'll come back soon!

Paper Scraps Overload

Today's card is one that is includes misc.  ipaper scraps and two 3-d flower sticker embellishments from my stash, I just can't seem to move those piles quick enough.  The sketch inspiration comes from the monthly challenge over at Mema's Crafts.  I am borrowing an idea from Kelli from Scraps of Color,  where you make the cards and don't necessary add the sentiment right away. I like that idea and may not even at a sentiment to the front at all.  You can see some of Kelli's projects over at A Scrap of This and That .where you make the cards and don't necessary add the sentiment right away.  While  I was putting the card together I had mixed feelings about the end result  but I'm pleased with the outcome!

I am suffering from a case of paper scraps and embellishments overload, I don't know what I am going to do.  I'm in the middle of a major reorganization of my area and I seem to be making a big mess!  All that aside I am trying to pack for my upcoming weekend getaway with my scappin' bestie Sharon from .I2BZ2W8.   I can't wait even though I'm not sure how much I'll get done but the downtime will be a welcome relief!  Wishing you and yours a great week, as always thank you for stopping by and I do hope you come back soon.

Back 2 School

Summer vacation is almost over for my daughter and she'll be heading back to school after Labor Day.  I'm back at work today after being off to take care of my daughter who had an outpatient medical procedure earlier this week; my MIL will be taking  care of her until she goes back to school.  My sister is doing better and should be out of ICU tomorrow; my heart is a little less heavy!

Today I'm sharing a card that I made using inspiration from sketch #186 from Operation Write Home.  I am also sharing this card for week 33 blog challenge over at Scraps of Color and the monthly challenge over at Mema's Crafts .  When making this card I used paper scraps, bling, a CTMH stamp and a foam sticker star  all from my stash.

Thank your for  stopping by, wishing you a great day.

A Happy Hello

Happy Independence Day, I hope you have a great day celebrating with family and friends.  We don't have any plans so I hope some R&R is in order.  It has been another busy week so I got up at my usual time for a little playtime this morning.  I am planning to go into work in little while just for a few hours and then I'll take tomorrow off.  Since today is the 4th of July I decided to make a card, which is a first for me.  I used this week's free svg file from Designs on Cloud 9.  I really like the little patriotic bear and how it came together!

I'm doing an extra happy dance because I'm sharing this card for three different challenges.  I'm sharing it for two different challenges over at Scraps of Color; the blog challenge for week #28 is to use red, white and blue in your project.  Kelli from A Scrap of This and That is also hosting a challenge in the SVG friends group to encourage us to play with our toys to cut a free svg file.  Lastly, I'm also sharing this card for the monthly challenge over at Mema's Crafts where the challenge is to use red, white and blue in our projects too.

Thanks for stopping by and I'm wishing you a happy and blessed holiday and weekend.

Father's Day

Sunday is Father's Day and no I'm not done with my cards; I need to get some cards in the mail tomorrow so they will get to their destination in time.  So today I'm sharing a card that I made for my husband, our daughter will write a message inside andt give to her dad.  The inspiration for this card came from the Operation Write Home site using their sketch #176 and the MME Moments 6x6 paper pad.  I am happy that I can share this card for June's challenge over at Mema's Crafts; week #25 blog challenge over at Scraps of Color and to the OWH site.  Its very rare that I create a project that can be used in more than one challenge.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Mother's Day

Yesterday was National Scrapbooking Day and I did manage to complete a few challenges; my goal was to mainly work on Mother's Day cards since I need to get them in the mail this week!  So today I'm sharing a card that I am submitting for two different challenges.

The first challenge was hosted on the Cricut message board by a group of wonderful Circle crafters.  You can head over to Around the Block with Scraplette where she hosted a Tic Tac Toe game.  My card uses the three elements in the last column; a cuttlebug folder, bling and ribbon.

Secondly, I'm sharing this card for this month's challenge over at Mema's Crafts where this month's theme is Anything Goes with a suggested Mother's Day and or May Flowers theme.

I'm working on several other projects that have posting deadlines today so I may be back.  Thank you for stopping by and have a great week.

Photo Memory Tray

Hello Wednesday, its me "Queen of Simple" when it comes to scrappin' sharing a photo memory tray that I'll be sending to my son.  The tray includes random pictures taken during our recent visit to Pittsburgh to hang out with him.  I am also planning to do a mini album since we  took so many pictures!  The tray included pictures taken at the Science Center, our family picture taken as we were boarding the riverboat on Easter Sunday, a picture of DH, DS, and DD as we were viewing the skyline at night (it was so cold).  The other little picture was one DD and I took in the photobooth in the lobby while we were waiting for our movie to start!  The other two slots were embellished using some of the receipts, part of a wristband and other stuff.  The word family was cut using the Out of Character cricut cartridge.

I'm sharing this project for this month's Anything Goes Challenge over at Mema's Crafts and Week #16 Blog Challenge over at Scraps of Color.  Thank you for stopping by, have a great day!

Christmas Tag

Hello Monday and its day 3 of my December Daily and I'm sharing a simple tag that I put together using some scraps from my crop on Saturday.  Its nothiing fancy, although it took a bit of time for me as I was just trying to work with what I had in the immediate space where I was crafting early this morning.  I'm submitting this tag for the monthly tag challenge over at Colorful Creations where you had to create a tag using ribbon, a metal brad, a Christmas or festive/word, flower(s) and felt.  Well that was simple enough and I can either use it on a gift or in my December Daily album!  Secondly I'm going to enter it into the monthly challenge over at Mema's Crafts where this month's challenge is a anything goes project.  Well thats quite a bit for right now so I'll be wishing you all well until tomorrow.
