CIU #306 -- Critters

Hello Friday and let the weekend begin, another really busy week so I am operating on fumes!  Today's project share is my project for the Cut it Up challenge blog where the theme is critters (real or fantasy).  I struggled with this as I wasn't sure whether you could consider a butterfly a critter, I know that it is an insect. I needed a sympathy card so I just went with it.

I used sketch inspiration from Atlantic Hearts challenge 583 along with random papers, dies, gems and a stamped sentiment.  Another signature clean and simple card done and will be going postal tomorrow along with some other handmade greeting cards.

I hope you will visit the Cut it Up challenge blog for more design inspiration, create and share your critter themed project; don't forget to use a die.  The challenge starts today and ends Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at noon PST.

Thank you for your visit, continue to be safe and hurry back soon.

Smile

Hello and happy Tuesday, doing a quick drive by post to share another card.  Today's card was created using sketch inspiration from sketch inspiration #649 over at Try a Sketch on Tuesday.  I created this card for the camera themed challenge hosted by 2Crafters1Design over on IG. I just used some random papers from my scrap stash, a camera embossing folder, some camera embellishments, dies from my stash and some TH mica stain for the splatter.

Thank you for your visit, take care and hurry back soon!  It's National Catfish Day so I might have some for lunch or dinner!

Thursday Musings

Hello and happy little Friday! Doing a quick drive by post to share a card I put together this week using the Concord  & 9th H2Hello die set.  No, I didn't need to add anything to my crafting stash but when I saw this die set I added it to my wish list!  Since this was my first time using the die and I wasn't creating for a specific person I just used some random papers from my stash, the sentiment is a part of the die set so I just added a few gems and this card was done. I hope to sit down and cut some more cups soon for future projects.  I am sharing this card for the Anything Goes challenge #653 over at Word Art Wednesday and the monthly challenge over at Never Before Used Stuff .

Thank you for your visit, continue to be safe and hurry back soon.

Father's Day

Hello Sunday and happy Father's Day!  Doing a quick drive by post as I need to get ready for my road trip to spend some time with  my dad., church starts in a little over two hours.  Today's card share is one created using sketch inspiration from Try a Sketch on Tuesday #648.  I didn't believe that I didn't really have a car die so I had to pull out one of my electronic cutters; the car came from the Groovy Times Cricut cartridge, used paint for the lines on the road, a few star gems and a stamped sentiment from Newton's Nook.

Thank you for your visit, continue to be safe and hurry back soon.

Saturday Musings

Hello early Saturday morning, it has been a rough week and it continues today.  Today's card share is one that I created using sketch inspiration from Tuesday Morning Sketches #760.  The animal print sheet of paper came an American Crafts 6x6 paper pad that has been in my stash for a while. As a matter of fact most of the items used have been in my stash for some years!

Thank you for your visit, continue to be safe and hurry back soon.

CIU #306 - Feeling Blue

Hello and happy Friday, another busy weekend ahead.  Today's project share is another signature clean and simple card created for the Cut it Up challenge blog.  The theme for challenge #306 is Feeling Blue, use blue as the dominate color.  I used random shades of blue paper and some never before used flower dies from Coco & Reno (Spring Folk Art), added a few gems and thee card was done.  I am sharing this card for challenge #63 over at Never Before Used Stuff.  I don't remember how long I've had those dies but I was inspired to pull them out after watching a YT video where the creator used a stencil with similar flower designs.

I hope you will visit the Cut it Up challenge blog for more inspiration, create and share your Feeling Blue project; don't forget to use a die.  The challenge starts today and ends Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at noon PST.

Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a wonderful weekend; I hope you'll visit again soon.

Seek Sweetness

Hello and happy Saturday morning; just finished a four mile walk so I am taking a few minutes to plan out the rest of my day!  Today's card share was created using sketch inspiration from Atlantic Hearts challenge #580.  I used papers from scrapbook.com paper pads, a stitched circle die, two different die sets for the fruits, a sentiment from an old Studio 29 stamp set and finished by adding a few sequins.  I like how the card came together and it will be going postal soon!  I shared this card for this week's Crafty Dares challenge hosted on IG.

Saturday Musings

Hello June and happy Saturday morning, got a full schedule today so I'm doing a quick drive by post. Today's card was created using sketch inspiration from Tuesday Morning Sketches #758 and all things Violet Studio.  On a recent trip to JoAnn's the Violet Studio items were on sale buy two and get three free, of course I can't pass up a sale!  I picked up four of the 6x6 paper pads and one package of gems so that is what I used papers, a cut apart for the sentiment and some gems and this card was done!

Thank you for your visit, enjoy your weekend and hurry back soon.
