Senior Thesis Presentation

Hello and happy Monday morning, more hot temps with a forecast for rain tomorrow.  I'm back today to share another completed LO for Baby Girl's high school album, she leaves for college on Sunday and of course the album won't be done!  My new goal is to have it done by family weekend in October.  This LO uses pictures taken the day she presented her senior thesis, I used misc. papers from my stash including pattern papers from the Heidi Grace Daydream paper pad, Recollections gems and some stickers. I cut the stars with the Spellbinders Nestabilities star die set and the title cut using the Formal Occasion Cricut cartridge.  I'm sharing this LO for the August Anything Goes  LTCCB #37 and Cardz TV #95.

Thank you for your visit, hope you have a wonderful week and that you'll stop by again soon.

Retirement Salute

Hello and happy Monday, I meant to share this project yesterday but as life would have I didn't get around to it.  Baby Girl hasn't been feeling well so I've had to be her nurse.  Today's project share is another LO that I recently completed for her high school album. I used pictures taken during the Richmond Public Schools retirement banquet where she was invited to salute the retirees.  I used leftover paper scraps from previous projects with the exception of the base,  Little Birdie handmade wreaths and some TPC Studio metal accents.  I even pulled out my Sizzix Sidekick and cut the lettering for the title.  I'm sharing this LO for the Anything Goes challenge #94 over at Cardz TV and challenge #36 over at Love to Scrap.

Thank you for your visit and I hope you'll return soon.

Last 2 Standing

Wow, where does the time go?  The days seem to go by so fast, so much to do and so little time! Today I am sharing another LO for Baby Girl's high school album, I won't make my goal of having the album completed for her trunk party; maybe by the time she leaves for school next month.  This picture was taken during the culminating event for the Young Adult Police Commissioners, they started out with seventeen students and for whatever reason the year ended with just these two!  The pattern piece of paper  and brads came from the DCWV high school  line, The lettering and wood veneer pieces have been in my stash for a long time and I used the Creative Memories This & That Cricut cartridge to cut the arrow.  I am sharing this project for the Anything Goes challenge #118 over at Always Fun challenges and Cardz TV #93.

Thank you for your visit, I hope you'll return soon.

Shine Bright

Hello and happy Sunday, warm and  humid in our area today.  Today's project share is another LO created for my daughter's high school album.  I used some of the pictures taken during one of our photo shoots at the museum and in the park.  I cut the sentiment from a sheet of 12x12 that was gifted to me by another scrapper, added a few miscellaneous embellishments and this LO was done with the exception of the journaling.

Classmates

Hello and happy sunny Tuesday!  Six days and counting; it's all about Baby Girl so today I'm sharing another LO that I put together for her album. This was fairly easy since I used a base sheet from the DCWV High School stack I only added a class picture, some lettering, a punch for the pennant/flags and the year.  I needed to add a splash of color so I pulled some blue glitter paper from my scrap stash and it was done.  The picture was taken during the senior class spirit week where they took a photo and the front steps of the school.  I used the cricut cartridge Nate's ABCs for the lettering and numbers.

Take care and have a terrific Tuesday.

Graduation Cap

Hello and happy cloudy Sunday, gearing up for a very busy week.  We are eight days away from Baby Girl's high school graduation.  Today's project share showcases how we altered her cap, happy this project is done because I need to move on!  I used a foil base, Recollections flowers, vinyl for the lettering and TH gears. We used the gears to symbolize her major which is engineering.  I'm sharing this project for the June Anything Goes challenge #35 over at the  Love to Craft challenge blog.

Thank you for your visits, hurry back!

Senior

Hello and happy Tuesday, cloudy/rain and cooler temps in our area today.  I'm doing a drive by post to share my latest LO which I completed at Saturday's crop.  I am so far behind that I doubt I'll have my daughter's book done by the end of the summer!  Today's LO is super simple and it uses one of the pictures taken during a photo session for some of her senior portraits.  The base pattern paper came from the DCWV Teenage Dream 12x12 paper stack, and the title was cut using my Silhouette Cameo.  I used stickers, a doily, die cuts and a torn sheet from an old book as embellishments.  I am sharing this LO for the anything goes challenge #89 over at Cardz TV.

Thank you for your visit, hope you'll visit again soon!

Teacher Appreciation

Hello and happy Friday, mild temps in the forecast for our area today.  It's Friday and I'm here to share a last minute card that I had to mass produce for my daughter.  She is in her last year of high school and for some reason decided that she wanted to do something for her teachers so I made a this card after looking on the internet for quick and simple ideas!  I literally took the picture as we were trying to get out the door after she asked me to write the note on the inside of the cards so it looks a little blurred.  I used a Darice embossing folder, the pencil is a cut from the Nate's ABCs Cricut cartridge and the sentiment is from the Cricut Sampler cartridge.  I thought about adding some stars but since I had to put these together without any help from my daughter I kept it simple!  This week we have recognized; police, nurses and teachers and we are thankful for the important work that they do!  I'm sharing this card for the anything goes challenge #89 over at Cardz TV.

Thank you for your visit, wishing you a wonderful weekend as most will celebrate mothers and college graduates.

Wednesday Wanderings

Hello and happy Wednesday, warm temps in our area today.  I have been so busy that I haven't had time to share, but I wanted to stop in today to share a little update on some things that I have been working on, I have so many pictures that I need to scrap but I just haven't had the time and I'm not sure when I will have the time!  Today I am sharing a little picture collage of what happened today,  this morning our daughter presented her senior thesis and it was also decision day for the seniors. Monday night I had to make sure she had stuff to decorate her locker (pictured)  and last night/this morning I made a photo booth and props for their decision day pictures.  We have just forty more days until graduation!

Thank you for your visit, please come again soon.

Spirit Week

Hello and happy cold Monday, trying to keep warm is getting harder.  The forecast calls for continued cold and the possibility of some rain or wintry mix within the next day or two.  Today's project share is another LO for baby girl's' high school album.  The journaling is hidden as this year's spirit week was different from past years.  She is wearing her senior class t-shirt with their names on the back for the first time.  I used sketch inspiration from Sketch N Scrap #168, paper from the Authentique Accomplished 12x12 paper pad, unbranded die for the t-shirt,  and other miscellaneous embellishments from my stash.  I cut the title using the Fontastic Fonts Cricut cartridge.

Thank you for your visit, be safe and stay warm.

2018 Homecoming

Hello and happy Saturday, I went to a crop today and I wanted to share one of my completed projects. This is my second  completed LO for 2019 and it uses pictures from baby girl's last high school homecoming and it is the first time she had a date.  I struggled with choosing papers and embellishments but I like the outcome and I don't think the picture does it justice.  The base sheet of paper was given to me by one of the other ladies at the crop since I didn't want to use what I had originally planned.  All other items used on the LO have been in my stash for a while.  I am sharing this LO for the  numbers  challenge  #344 over at Use Your Stuff.

Thank you for your visit, I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Open House

Hello and happy Sunday, more seasonal temps in the forecast today with a forecast for more rain later this week.  Today I am sharing LO #27, my last LO for 2018, I'd like to get a few more done but I know I can't!  This LO uses sketch inspiration from  Sketch N Scrap challenge #166, I like their sketches and I try to complete at least two of them each month.  I also participate in their FB online crops.    The papers came from the Lori Whitlock kit, The Story of Our Family, Jillibean Soup Bean Board Alphas for the title and some wood veneer embellishments.   I am sharing this LO for the Anything Goes challenge #484 over at Tuesday Morning Sketches.

Thank you for your visit, hope you continue to enjoy time with family and friends.

Friends

Hello and happy Thursday, two hour school delay this morning and cloudy skies in our area today. Speaking of school I'm sharing another LO created for one of Baby Girl's albums.  I am trying to complete at least five more LOs by the end of the year.  This LO uses sketch inspiration from one of the challenges from the Merry & Bright online crop hosted on FB by Sketch N Scrap.  Most of the papers used came from an old paper pad that I picked up in TM a few years ago.  I struggled with the LO sketch but I think that it came out fine, I tried to pull some of the colors from both of their clothing.  The base of the LO has embossed dots, I cut the stitched circles for the title using an unbranded die set, used Love Nicole letter dies, painted the butterfly and added some wink a stellar to the stars.  Another LO done with the exception of the journaling which will be hidden.

Take care and hurry back tomorrow for my latest design team project.
